We are thrilled that you have chosen to fundraise for Ronald McDonald House Charities Bay Area! One of the best ways to rally your friends and family to support your race is through your own social media.

Social media best practices

  • Keep it short and sweet.
  • Ideal to always include an image and a link to your fundraiser.
  • Please remember you are representing RMHC Bay Area when posting.

Key elements for every post

  • Tag @RMHCBayArea, and hashtags #TeamRMHC #RMHCBayArea

Post ideas by social media channel

Choose your favorite social media channel(s) to fundraise, the more outreach, the better!

Profile picture: Change your photo to one of you running or holding a sign which reads, “I’m Running for RMHC Bay Area families!”

POSTS:

Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat Stories: You can easily turn some of the posts into stories too! Below each sample post, you’ll find a corresponding story graphic linked.

In the story designs, the spaces left above the logos is for you to add your fundraising link. How to add a link to a story:

  1. Upload content to your story.
  2. Select the sticker tool from the top navigation bar.
  3. Tap the “Link” sticker to add your fundraising link, and tap “Done”
  4. Place the sticker on your story — like our other stickers — and tap on the sticker to see color variations.

In any of your posts or captions, you can also include:

“There’s still time to donate, only [BLANK] days left until my run for Ronald McDonald House!”

I am running for families with sick kids!

I’m running the 2024 Oakland Marathon with #TeamRMHC! My goal is to raise $XX to support @RMHCBayArea as they provide thousands of families every year with housing near the hospital, meals, and support services.

RMHC Bay Area has a vision of a world where every sick child has the care they need, surrounded by family and a community they can count on.

I am Team RMHC running for sick kids in medical crisis.

On March 17th, I will be running for critically ill children and their families in the Oakland Running Fest 5K [replace with your race event! Ronald McDonald House provides families in medical crisis with housing, meals and support all across the Bay Area!
