What We Do

Keeping families together and near the medical care they need

With the help of our Bay Area community, we help ease the financial and emotional burdens families face as they access critical care for their children. Our Ronald McDonald programs operate inside and nearby our partner hospitals, offering long- and short-term housing, daily meal support, and 24/7 support psychosocial support services, such as child enrichment and sibling care, family activities and recreation, and more.

Where You’ll Find Us

An outside view of the Ronald McDonald House Stanford

Each night, we house 123 families with children being treated at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and support local families through day-use access to our facilities. Volunteers and partners allow us to provide daily meals and comprehensive programming to restore a sense of normalcy and community during medical crises.

San Francisco Great Room inside UCSF

Our Ronald McDonald programs at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco include onsite accommodations for 11 families each night, daily meals and support services just steps away from patient care. Thanks to housing partnerships, we have expanded housing services in San Francisco and launched our first family stay program in Oakland.
