Ronald McDonald House of San Francisco

Providing family housing, meals, & support steps away from patient care

Our first Ronald McDonald House program in San Francisco was established in January 1989 with our House on Scott Street. Today, we operate an 11-bedroom House inside UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital at Mission Bay, providing in-hospital meals, housing services, and family programming just steps away from patient care.

Overnight Accommodations

RMHC Bay Area private family bedrooms provide safe and comfortable spaces for families to rest and recharge together following long days at the hospital. More than a roof over their heads, these accommodations relieve families of the stresses of finding a place to stay while far from home and allow parents to be stronger partners in their children’s critical care.

Our House in San Francisco accommodates 11 families every night. While we request a nominal donation of $10 per night, no family is turned away due to inability to pay.
