Palo Alto, CA, May 03, 2024 — Ronald McDonald House Charities Bay Area (RMHC Bay Area) is proud to announce the appointment of Porsche Gordon as its new vice president of advancement. With a profound commitment to children’s health and to improving inequities in healthcare, education, and housing, Gordon brings with her over two decades of leadership experience in philanthropy and a visionary approach to driving transformational support.

“Porsche’s passion for children and families and her dedication to uplifting marginalized communities make her an exceptional addition as we grow our team throughout the Bay Area, particularly in the East Bay,” said Laura Boudreau, CEO of RMHC Bay Area. “Her proven track record in philanthropy is going to help us ensure children and their families have access to healthcare, surrounded by the support they need.”

Gordon brings a wealth of experience from renowned institutions such as UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, Stanford University, and Howard University where she developed fundraising strategies and spearheaded philanthropic initiatives in support of healthcare, research, and social justice priorities.

A graduate of Howard University, Gordon holds Bachelor’s and Master of Business Administration degrees. Her roots run deep in the Bay Area community, particularly in her hometown, Oakland, CA, where she is actively engaged. Additionally, she holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

Gordon’s appointment marks an exciting new era for RMHC Bay Area as it seeks to expand its reach in the East Bay and to bring more comfort and support to sick children and their families throughout the Bay Area.

Our mission at Ronald McDonald House Charities Bay Area (RMHC Bay Area) is to be there for sick kids and their families, providing comfort and support when and where they need it most. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), we offer no-cost housing, free meals, and comprehensive psychosocial support services for families with children accessing care at the Bay Area’s leading children’s hospitals, including Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in San Francisco and Oakland.
