Baby Adrianna and mom, Abigail

Patient Adrianna

A family with a sick child is a sick family. You can help.

In February 2021, Adrianna’s mom, Abigail, experienced a parent’s worst nightmare. Her 9-month-old was gasping for air, and she didn’t know why. In an instant, everything changed. From their home in O’ahu, they were an ocean away from the advanced medical care in the Bay Area that Adrianna’s life depended on.

“After constantly worrying about my daughter and her operation, I was also worrying about who was going to take care of my son at home, where I would sleep, what would I eat, and how to get through all of these challenges, especially during the pandemic,” Abigail said.

Access to healthcare is a human right.

Housing families nearby and inside the hospital makes access possible.

Thanks to donors like you, we provided nearly 24,000 overnight stays to families with sick children. Abigail was relieved to learn that once her family arrived in the Bay Area, they would have a community of support to lean on — moments from Adrianna’s heart transplant team.

“What RMHC provides is much more than just a place to stay.” — Adrianna’s mom, Abigail

By donating today, you can ensure RMHC Bay Area is there for sick children and their families, providing comfort and support when and where they need it most.
