Some days remind you exactly why this community shows up. This year’s Annual Golf Invitational and Music on the Patio was one of them.
Between the greens and the string lights at Rosewood Sand Hill, our supporters, sponsors, and friends came together for a full day of golf, music, and generosity — and by the end of it, we raised $1.04 million, the most our community has ever raised in a single day!
A Family’s Story: The Marcus Family
One of the most meaningful moments of the night came from the Marcus family, who traveled all the way from Dallas, Texas to be part of Music on the Patio. They first arrived at our Stanford House in 2020, when their son Harrison began treatment for acute myeloid leukemia. “The House provided community, a return to routine, an opportunity for fun and health, and allowed us all space for much needed rest and recovery” shared the Marcus family.
This year, the Marcus family chose to spend this milestone with the community that was by their side — returning to Ronald McDonald House Bay Area to honor what would have been their son’s 16th birthday on September 25th.
``The Ronald McDonald House restored us and allowed us a period of recovery on our journey that I don't think we even fully realized we needed. It gives us memories that include smiles and time together and laughter. Your support allows space for hope to creep back in for exhausted families.``
