Press Release: Ronald McDonald House Charities Bay Area Welcomes Jeff Rhode as Vice President of Development

Palo Alto, CA  January 07, 2026 — Ronald McDonald House Charities Bay Area (RMHC Bay Area) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Rhode (pronounced Road-ee) as Vice President of Development. Rhode, who grew up in the Bay Area, brings more than 20 years of fundraising leadership experience and has raised more than $200 million in support of education, mental health, and social justice initiatives through partnerships with individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Rhode will oversee RMHC Bay Area’s fundraising and partnership strategy during a period of significant organizational growth. “During my visits to the Ronald McDonald House, I was able to witness first-hand the critical role RMHC Bay Area plays in ensuring families feel supported and able to stay by their child’s side during medical crises,” said Rhode. “I’m excited to build on the organization’s strong foundation and expand partnerships with individuals and organizations to help even more families across the region.”

RMHC Bay Area serves families from near and far seeking treatment at the Bay Area’s world-class children’s hospitals. The organization provides no-cost housing, meals, psychosocial support and other critical resources to help remove barriers to care.

“Jeff brings exceptional fundraising expertise, deep Bay Area roots, and a collaborative leadership style,” said Laura Boudreau Keegan, Chief Executive Officer of RMHC Bay Area. “His experience and vision will be instrumental as we scale our impact and deepen our relationships with corporate and philanthropic partners.”
