Shamrock Shake® Season Returns to Support Ronald McDonald House Bay Area Families

From February 17 through April 17, Bay Area McDonald’s® Owner/Operators are once again turning a fan-favorite treat into meaningful impact for families with critically ill children. For every Shamrock Shake® and OREO® Shamrock McFlurry® purchased at participating restaurants across the Greater Bay Area and Central Coast, 25 cents will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Bay Area!

This seasonal favorite helps provide families with comfort, community, and access to essential care when they need it most.

For more than 47 years, McDonald’s Owner/Operators have been our Founding & Forever Mission partners. Since helping establish the Bay Area’s first Ronald McDonald House in Palo Alto, their ongoing commitment has enabled the organization to expand its reach and serve more families across the region.

The Shamrock Shake itself holds a special place in Ronald McDonald House history. In 1974, proceeds from Shamrock Shake sales helped fund the very first Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia, creating a model of care that now serves millions of families worldwide. That legacy continues locally through the Greater Bay Area McDonald’s Cooperative.

Today, their support helps sustain Ronald McDonald Houses in Palo Alto and Oakland, in-hospital meal programs, Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles, and other vital services that ensure families can stay by their child’s side during treatment.

Every Shamrock Shake and OREO Shamrock McFlurry purchased helps ensure families have access to the care, resources, and community they need during some of life’s most challenging moments. Shamrock Shakes and OREO Shamrock McFlurries are available now through April 17, or while supplies last.

This season, enjoying a Shamrock Shake is more than a tradition; it’s a way to stand beside families when they need it most.
