Seasonal Drives
Throughout the year, we rely on our community of supporters to collect and donate backpacks, school supplies, Halloween costumes, and more to ease the burden of shopping for parents and provide a sense of normalcy and comfort during special times of year.
- Comfort & Joy for the holidays: Our popular end-of-year drive engages companies and individuals in collect holiday toys and goods to make the holidays a little brighter for families who can’t celebrate at home.
- Comfort & Clean this spring: Everything that makes your house a home we need to provide for 134 families, 365 days a year. That’s a lot of sponges, sheets, and supplies!
- Comfort & Grow for backpacks and supplies: Support the learning, development, and creativity of patients and siblings with school supplies, backpacks, and more.
- Comfort & Costumes for Halloween: Help siblings and sick kids be kids this Halloween, as they trick or treat around our 100,000 sq-ft campus.
Comfort & Care Program
Creating care kits for families is a great way to team up with your co-workers and friends. It’s also a great option for kids under 16 years old who’d like to volunteer. Ready to get involved? View our Comfort & Care Flier for how to get started.
Remember: All items must be new and unwrapped with original tags and packaging.
- Activity Kits: Comfort Kits offer families a variety of arts and crafts, travel games or activity items for all ages. These items must be new and in their original packaging.
- Toiletry Kits: Toiletry kits help families meet basic needs and are instrumental to helping them feel comfortable and relaxed during stays at our Houses. We are in constant need of travel-sized items packaged in clear baggies. Hotel-style shampoos, conditioners, bar soaps, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and deodorants are welcome.
- Snack Packs: Snack packs offer families opportunities to grab quick (but important!) bites on the way to the hospital. Individually packaged, non-perishable snacks are always need. Pretzels, fruit snacks, granola bars, cookies, chips, small waters/drinks make for great snack packs!
- Seasonal: Valentine’s Day treats, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day baskets, and Camp Ronald McDonald House recreation kits help families celebrate special occasions and school breaks throughout the year.
When participating in seasonal drives or providing care kits, look to our current Wish Lists for a quick and easy way to see what we most urgently need.
