02 Apr A Record-Breaking Race: 100+ Runners Rally for TeamRMHC at the 2025 Oakland Marathon to Help Critically Ill Children
The Oakland Marathon was more than just a race this year—it was a movement of hope and community. With over 100 runners—our biggest TeamRMHC yet! —we raised critical funds to support families with housing, meals, and a community of support when they need it most.

TeamRMHC runners clocked over 650 miles on race day—that’s like running across more than 11,000 football fields! From the energy of the RMHC Cheer Zone to heartfelt dedication of each of the runners, every step was fueled by a commitment to keeping families close.
Together, we’ve already raised over $30,000 and counting. There’s still time to give before fundraising closes on April 6 —and your support still matters.

Cheering Loud for TeamRMHC
April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and there’s no better way to kick it off than by celebrating our best cheer crew ever. Our Cheer Zone volunteers held signs, handed out water and showed up with a smile, reminding our runners that their miles mean more moments together for RMHC families.

Our Founding & Forever Mission partners made sure their support was visible by hosting a McDonald’s TeamRMHC Cheer Zone. Special thanks to local owner/operator, Joseph Wong for joining in on the fun!
We teamed up with Cheer San Francisco, an all-volunteer nonprofit cheerleading team who has been uplifting communities for over 45 years, to bring enthusiasm and support to every runner crossing the course.

A BIG thank you to our generous sponsors at Keurig Dr. Pepper —your support for TeamRMHC helps us to remove barriers, strengthen families and promote healing through innovative family-centered programs across the Bay Area.
