Please carefully review our eligibility requirements before submitting a Room Request form. There are four eligibility requirements to stay at our Stanford and San Francisco Ronald McDonald Houses:
- The child/patient must be receiving in-patient or out-patient treatment at one of our partner hospitals: UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals or Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford or Stanford Hospital and Clinics.
- A pregnant woman who needs to be near the hospital because her baby will need urgent surgery at birth are also eligible for housing services.
- The child/patient must be 18 years or younger, though children who have stayed at the House prior to their 18th birthday are able to use our facilities until they reach age 21.
- The family must live at least 50 miles away from the House. Note: Our distance requirement can be modified under certain conditions.
Request a room
Though our goal is to provide a room for every family in need, our Ronald McDonald Houses operate at full capacity, and we are unable to accommodate every request. If you meet the eligibilty requirements above, please completing a Room Request Form.
Important Note: Completing a request form is not a reservation and does NOT guarantee a room. Once completed, your information is automatically added to our wait list. If a room is available, you will be contacted directly. Thank you.
Ronald McDonald House Charities® Bay Area requests a nominal donation of $10 per night, but thanks to donor support no family is ever turned away due to inability to pay. Third party payments are accepted.
