Day Pass - House at Stanford

Day Pass extends amenities, programs and services to tamilies not eligible to stay overnight at our Ronald McDonald House at Stanford during designated daytime hours. Any family with a child being treated at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is eligible to participate.

All Day Pass participants must register at the front desk by presenting a valid government-issued ID. A Guest Services Associate or volunteer will provide a brief tour of available facilities and answer any questions. As some of our House residents have compromised immunity, all visitors must be in good health and free of symptoms such as sore throat, fever, cough, runny nose, etc.

9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., 7 days a week.

Day Pass amenities include the following:


MegaBITES

Day Pass families are welcome to enjoy no co-cost meals prepared and served by volunteer corporate and community groups in the dining room of our Arrillaga Family Center, providing necessary nourishment and valuable time together when families need it most.


Family KitchenS

Our kitchens are stocked with basic staples in the community pantry and offers access to stoves, ovens, microwaves, rice cookers, pots, pans, and utensils for House families and Day Pass guests to use.


Laundry FacilitiesFREE LAUNDRY FACILITIES

Laundry rooms are provided free of charge; each room is equipped with washers, dryers, ironing board, iron, detergent, and dryer sheets.


Children's Activity RoomYOUTH Room

This volunteer supervised playroom is designed to keep kids entertained with games, art projects, puzzles, and toys. Parents must remain in the House while their children are in the Youth Room. Children welcome: Weekdays, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Weekends, noon to 8 p.m.


TODDLER Room

This fun space for toddlers is equipped to encourage cognitive development through free play. Supervision is required. Toddlers with guardians welcome: Daily, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.


"The Town"

Designed and constructed by House staff and volunteers, the Town offers patients and siblings a space to engage in dramatic, imaginative play. Children can explore a market, wood shop, veterinary clinic, infant nursery, French bakery, tech start-up, and a taco truck! Parents must remain in the House while their children are in the Town. Children welcome: Weekdays, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Weekends, noon to 8 p.m.


Bub's HubBub's Hub

Six TVs line the walls featuring multiple gaming consoles. All ages welcome: Weekdays, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Weekends, noon to 8 p.m.


The Teen RoomThe K-CLUB Teen Lounge

This colorful room encourages peer interaction. Teens are able to kick back and relax with pool, foosball, video games, or movies. Parents must stay onsite while their children are in K-Club. Teens ages 12-17 welcome: Weekdays, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Weekends, noon to 8 p.m.


House activityFamily Activities

A variety of family activities, from arts and crafts to game nights, are scheduled throughout the week. Weekly schedules are available at the House’s front desk or through the Patient Experience department at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford.


Exercise Room

MAKErSpace

Equipped with a 3-D printer, circuits and sound-sentive Nano technology light installations our Makerspace offers families opportunities to design and create functional keepsakes and practical inventions to support their treatment experiences and promote healing. Exercise RoomEXERCISE Room

A small gym offers fitness equipment to help you maintain your physical fitness routine.

 


Private Shower Facilities

Relax with a hot shower. Towels, toiletries, and hair dryers are provided.


FREE PARKING AND SHUTTLE

Parking is available in the side lot on the east side of the House. A shuttle identified by the House logo runs to and from Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and can be boarded at the main entrance of each building. Shuttle schedules are at the information desk near the hospital main entrance, or the House’s front desk. Up for a stroll?The House is a short 10-minute walk from the hospital.

FREE Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available with password access posted at the front desk.
