Our Ronald McDonald House at Stanford provides a home-like environment and supportive programs and services for families caring for critically ill children. House amenities include:
Our 123 private bedrooms offer parents and children respite from the stresses of complex medical treatments just steps from their children's bedsides. Available only to families meeting our eligibility criteria, guests hace the opportunity to rest and heal in safe and comfortable spaces for as long as they need it.
Our kitchens are stocked with basic staples in the community pantry and offers access to stoves, ovens, microwaves, rice cookers, pots, pans, and utensils for House families and Day Pass guests to use.
FREE LAUNDRY FACILITIES
Laundry rooms are provided free of charge; each room is equipped with washers, dryers, ironing board, iron, detergent, and dryer sheets.
This volunteer supervised playroom is designed to keep kids entertained with games, art projects, puzzles, and toys. Parents must remain in the House while their children are in the Youth Room. Children welcome: Weekdays, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Weekends, noon to 8 p.m.
This fun space for toddlers is equipped to encourage cognitive development through free play. Supervision is required. Toddlers with guardians welcome: Daily, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Designed and constructed by House staff and volunteers, the Town offers patients and siblings a space to engage in dramatic, imaginative play. Children can explore a market, wood shop, veterinary clinic, infant nursery, French bakery, tech start-up, and a taco truck! Parents must remain in the House while their children are in the Town. Children welcome: Weekdays, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Weekends, noon to 8 p.m.
Six TVs line the walls featuring multiple gaming consoles. All ages welcome: Weekdays, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Weekends, noon to 8 p.m.
The K-CLUB Teen Lounge
This colorful room encourages peer interaction. Teens are able to kick back and relax with pool, foosball, video games, or movies. Parents must stay onsite while their children are in K-Club. Teens ages 12-17 welcome: Weekdays, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Weekends, noon to 8 p.m.
A variety of family activities, from arts and crafts to game nights, are scheduled throughout the week. Weekly schedules are available at the House’s front desk or through the Patient Experience department at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford.
A small gym offers fitness equipment to help you maintain your physical fitness routine.
An on-site educational facility staffed with a credentialed teacher helps patients and siblings stay current in their studies.

Relax with a hot shower. Towels, toiletries, and hair dryers are provided.
FREE PARKING AND SHUTTLE
Parking is available in the side lot on the east side of the House. A shuttle identified by the House logo runs to and from Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and can be boarded at the main entrance of each building. Shuttle schedules are at the information desk near the hospital main entrance, or the House’s front desk. Up for a stroll?The House is a short 10-minute walk from the hospital.
